I won’t lie, I have been trying to get published on Mamalode for months now.  Mamalode has been labeled the best parenting magazine by BlogHer, where readers will find ” a lot of love for content and design and the wonders of modern motherhood.”

Today my story Dear Moms and Dads of Wee Ones is featured on Mamalode. This is a story I wrote at 2am, when I just wasn’t able to close my eyes long enough to admire my eyelids.  My day as a mother had been difficult and my heart was sad. As I lay awake, this story came to me.

Here is an excerpt:

It is exhausting when your baby throws the dinner you worked so hard to make on the ground for you to clean up.

But then at night you rock your baby to sleep with their small, warm body nuzzled perfectly into the shape of your body, like you will always work together in a perfect puzzle.

Until next time, the mothership is signing off.

Well done Meg! So good to achieve an ambition & we know there will be more achievements in the future, if you so desire.

Megan, that was a wonderful, heart felt story and a great message to share with other Mom’s and Dad’s coming up the ladder, so to speak. Raising a family and managing a career is not easy. Sometimes, time moves at an agonizing pace . . . until one day, you look over your shoulder and wonder to yourself, where did it all those years go?
